Voice cloning allows you to create a digital replica of your voice that you can use to generate unlimited voiceovers. This feature is perfect for content creators who want to maintain their unique voice across all their content without spending hours in the recording booth.
Important: Voice cloning is available on Premium plans only. You may only clone voices that you have legal rights to use (your own voice or voices with explicit permission).
Requirements
Before you start, you'll need:
- A Premium VidSpectra subscription
- A high-quality audio recording of your voice (3-10 minutes recommended)
- A quiet recording environment with minimal background noise
- Audio file in MP3, WAV, or M4A format
Recording Tips for Best Results
- Use a quality microphone: Even a decent USB microphone produces better results than phone recordings
- Minimize background noise: Record in a quiet room, away from fans, AC, and traffic
- Speak naturally: Don't perform or exaggerate; speak as you normally would in your videos
- Vary your delivery: Include different emotions and pacing for a more versatile clone
- Read diverse content: Read various types of content (news, stories, casual speech)
Step-by-Step Setup
1Navigate to Voice Tools
From your dashboard, go to "Voice Tools" then select "Clone Voices" from the submenu.
2Click "Create New Clone"
Click the button to start the voice cloning wizard. You'll be guided through the process.
3Upload Your Audio Sample
Drag and drop your audio file or click to browse. We recommend 3-10 minutes of clear speech for the best results.
4Name Your Voice
Give your voice clone a memorable name (e.g., "My Voice - Casual" or "Professional Narrator").
5Process and Wait
Click "Create Clone" and wait for processing. This typically takes 2-5 minutes depending on the audio length.
6Test Your Clone
Once complete, test your voice clone with sample text to ensure it sounds right. You can regenerate if needed.
Pro Tip: Create multiple voice clones with different speaking styles - one for tutorials, one for casual vlogs, one for professional content. This gives you versatility while maintaining your authentic voice.
Using Your Cloned Voice
Once your voice is cloned, it appears in your voice library alongside the standard Realistic AI Voices. To use it:
- Go to "Text to Speech" in Voice Tools
- Select your cloned voice from the voice selector
- Enter or paste your script text
- Adjust speed and other settings as needed
- Click "Generate" to create your voiceover
Managing Your Voice Clones
You can manage your voice clones from the "Clone Voices" section:
- Edit: Rename your voice clone
- Delete: Remove a voice clone you no longer need
- Re-train: Upload new audio to improve the clone quality
